How to: Rotate or Flip Footage in CaseGuard Studio

The Rotate or Flip tool is an editing tool in CaseGuard that rotates or flips specified segments of a video.

For users needing to rotate or flip a video for easier viewing, the Rotate or Flip Tools can help. By using the Rotate or Flip Tools in CaseGuard, users can Rotate or Flip their moving video footage from body worn cameras to any angle, allowing for easier redaction and review.

Follow the Steps to Rotate your media!

Method 1 (Most User-Friendly)

  • Add a video to your project .
  • In the audio waveform, highlight the portion you want to rotate. ( If you want to rotate the entire video, drag across the full waveform. )

  • While your mouse is over the highlighted audio section, right-click and select the Rotate option.

  • Choose the rotation degree that matches your desired result.
  • The selected audio waveform will turn blue. To see the effect applied to your video, export the video.

Method 2

  • Add a video to your project .
  • Select the Audio Tools, and in the dropdown effects, look for Rotate (make sure to select the required option).

  • Pick your desired segment where you want the effect applied. If it’s the start and the end, make sure the times shown in the Pick Segment box match your selection.

How to pick the segment:

  • use the up and down icons to move the segment to your desired time, then click Start. Do the same to pick the times for where you want the effect to be applied, then click End, and finally press the icon next to the Start and End. Refer to the image below.
  • The audio waveform will turn blue, indicating that the rotation effect has been applied to this file.

  • When you have reviewed your edits, click the “Export” button from the top right of CaseGuard to export.
