How to: Whitelist Domains for CaseGuard Online Services

To ensure CaseGuard’s online services (including transcription, translation, and AI document analysis) function correctly, your IT team may need to whitelist specific domains on your network.

Step 1: Whitelist CaseGuard Hub

Add the following domain to your whitelist to ensure access to CaseGuard Hub: m.caseguard.com

Step 2: Configure AWS Service Access

CaseGuard leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS) to process transcription, translation, and AI analysis. There are several approaches your IT team can take depending on your organization’s security policies:

Option 1: Allow All AWS Services (Least Restrictive)

Allowing all AWS domains across all regions: https://*.*.amazonaws.com

Note: This is the broadest option and may not align with your security requirements.

Option 2: Allow All Services in a Specific Region

If you would like to restrict access to a specific AWS region, you can allow one of the following:

GovCloud (US-West):

  • https://*.us-gov-west-1.amazonaws.com

US West (Oregon):

  • https://*.us-west-2.amazonaws.com

All CaseGuard users in your organization should use the same region that your IT team selects.

Option 3: Allow Only Specific Services in a Region (Most Restrictive & Secure)

For organizations that prefer to restrict access to specific services only, the following domains must be whitelisted based on your chosen AWS region:

GovCloud (US-West):

  • https://s3.us-gov-west-1.amazonaws.com
  • https://transcribe.us-gov-west-1.amazonaws.com
  • https://comprehend.us-gov-west-1.amazonaws.com
  • https://translate.us-gov-west-1.amazonaws.com

US West (Oregon):

  • https://s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com
  • https://transcribe.us-west-2.amazonaws.com
  • https://comprehend.us-west-2.amazonaws.com
  • https://translate.us-west-2.amazonaws.com

This option is the most restrictive, but also the most secure.
