How to Use Show / Hide Tag to Identify Redaction Boxes in CaseGuard Studio

Overview

When working with AI-generated or manually created redactions in CaseGuard Studio, it can be difficult to locate a specific redaction box while reviewing your file. Although the Activity Panel lists every detected or created redaction, clicking a redaction box on the video itself does not automatically highlight its corresponding entry in the Activity Panel.

This is where the Show / Hide Tag feature becomes extremely useful. It places visible labels on every redaction box in your footage, making it easy to match what you see on the video with entries in the Activity Panel for faster review, editing, and quality control.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. After running AI Search or creating manual redactions, navigate to the Activity panel on the far right side of the screen.

    • Don’t see the Activity panel?
It might be unpinned. To pin it:

      • Click the double left arrows at the top right of the interface.

  4. Once enabled, CaseGuard Studio will automatically add titles/labels to each redaction box on your footage.

    • These labels help you identify the box’s exact name or ID as it appears in the Activity Panel.

  5. To find a specific redaction box, go to the Search bar at the top of the Activity Panel.

  6. Type the full title/ID of the redaction box and press Enter.

Conclusion

The Show / Hide Tag feature provides an easy and efficient way to identify, locate, and edit individual redaction boxes in CaseGuard Studio. By labeling each box visually and allowing quick search filtering in the Activity Panel, this tool improves accuracy, speeds up the review process, and reduces confusion when working with many redactions on the same file.
Whether you’re handling AI-generated detections or manual redactions, enabling Show / Hide Tag ensures you can manage your edits with precision and confidence.
