How to: Change The Resolution of Your Video in CaseGuard

Large video files can be difficult to share, especially when email attachments or cloud storage limits are a concern. CaseGuard Studio makes it easy to adjust your video’s resolution, reducing the file size while preserving visual quality.

Resizing your video can help streamline sharing, storage, and processing, particularly for high-resolution recordings. In CaseGuard Studio, you can quickly select the resolution that best fits your needs, ensuring your files remain manageable without compromising important visual details. This guide will walk you step-by-step through the process of resizing videos, helping you optimize your workflow and make your content easier to distribute.

Follow these steps to change the resolution of your video!

  • Open Your Video
    Open the project containing the video you want to resize and load it into the editor.

  • Access the Resize Tool
    • Click Video Tools in the toolbar on the left.
    • Select Resize from the menu.

  • Choose Your Resize Method
    In the Resize window, you can adjust your video resolution in two ways:

    • By Percentage: Enter a percentage of the current size (e.g., 50% to reduce the resolution by half).

    • By Pixels: Enter a specific resolution (e.g., 1280×720 or 1920×1080).

    By default, CaseGuard preserves the video’s aspect ratio. To change the aspect ratio, uncheck Preserve Aspect Ratio.

  • Review and Apply
    • Click Next to review your changes in the Summary window.
    • Click Apply to confirm.
  • Export the Resized Video
    • Click Export in the top-right corner.
    • Choose your export settings and save the resized video to your desired location.
