Add a Manual Redaction
- In the lefthand toolbar, choose
Manual Redaction.
- Adjust the shape and effects settings of the Tool Properties Panel. By default, the rectangle shape and blur effect are selected.
- Drag to draw a shape on an object or area you want to redact.
- From the Player timeline, select
to see the effect, or use the right arrow or left arrow on your keyboard to move to the next frame.
- Once you’ve drawn your shape, you can leave it in place for how long as you like.
- For shapes that need to be in place for the entirety of the video, click
to view the results of your shape’s placement.

- Once you’ve drawn your shape, you can leave it in place for how long as you like.
- You may want to redact more objects in your video in manual mode. To do that, you can add more shapes by dragging them onto the frame directly.
- Click
Save as seen in the Shortcuts Bar or from the bottom of the Task List Panel to record your changes. - If you want to redact any audio in the video file, follow the steps in Redacting Audio.
- Click
Process as seen in the Shortcuts Bar or from the bottom of the Task List Panel to process your file.
