Windows Media Player 10 is required to run CaseGuard Studio. Windows Media Player 10 isn’t normally available for Windows Server, but there’s a workaround.
To enable Windows Media Player on Windows server, do the following:
- Enable the ‘desktop experience’: add a role to the server, and under ‘User interface and infrastructure’ enable ‘desktop experience’
- In an elevated command prompt, run : dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:MediaPlayback
- Once this completes, reboot the server.
