CaseGuard for Government

CaseGuard for Government

Redacting records, sensitive documents, video footage, audio recordings, and image data is often time-consuming and expensive. Government agencies all over have had to rely on outdated manual methods to redact sensitive information, leading to scenarios where agency staff end up redacting documents page by page, and audio and video frame by frame for hours at a time.

CaseGuard solves this problem. CaseGuard harnesses AI and machine learning to identify and redact faces, computer screens, license plates, and other objects automatically. It finds any word, sentence, or pattern (including emails, phone numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, and more) then lets you redact any or all occurrences with a click.

How does it work? Every day, its algorithms are trained, so that the system improves upon itself, getting more and more accurate each day. Smarter redaction systems save time, money, and makes complying with privacy regulations much more manageable. It’s why government organizations worldwide use CaseGuard Studio to address their unique redaction needs.

Designed to Redact Agency Records Quickly

With CaseGuard, agencies can adapt to their changing redaction needs and maintain the highest standards. Its flexible toolset makes it easy for government agencies to handle whatever request is thrown their way. If your agency received any of the United States Government’s 863,729 FOIA requests in 2018, you’re well aware that processing all of that information takes enormous amounts of effort. Records obtainable under FOIA include all “agency records,” including print documents, photographs, videos, maps, email, and electronic files. Depending on the nature of a request, staff could be responsible for redacting four separate media types at a time.

That’s why CaseGuard is designed so you can move fast and securely to meet any records request. Engineered for some of the most security sensitive organizations, our desktop-based application offers our government customers easy-to-use tools to redact audio, video, images, and PDFs. Our strong security means your data stays safe and a comprehensive audit log is secured throughout the editing processmeaning agencies can focus on mission-critical tasks instead of managing unnecessarily complicated redaction and audit workflows.

Working with Government to Serve Government

We listen to our customers, then innovate and deliver software that helps them solve problems faster. It’s how we ensure the quality of our software. By understanding the context and conditions they operate in, we can build software that fulfills the needs of our partners in government. We know that agencies want to quickly redact sensitive information without stumbling over a complex software interface. It’s why CaseGuard was designed for users without any training or background in document editing.

Whether you’re handling a FOIA request, evidence request, or other records request, CaseGuard works for you. CaseGuard helps you save time by obfuscating personally identifiable information (PII) before it’s released to the public. Through our relationships with agencies, we’ve been able to address their redaction needs proactively.

Transcription, Captioning, and Translation for Accessibility Compliance

Transcription is one of many ways in which you can make video and audio content more accessible. Transcription occurs when you take video or audio content and convert it into displayed readable text. CaseGuard Studio can automatically transcribe audio (in both video and audio files) to text, recognizing multiple speakers in the audio. CaseGuard Studio’s transcription tool can recognize 31 languages and even translate the transcript of your audio from one language to another.

Similar to transcribing, CaseGuard also can caption audio and videos. Captioning, in contrast to transcribing, is a process that requires breaking up transcript text into separate pieces, and time-coding each frame to synchronize with the audio of a video. See how easy it is to caption your media with CaseGuard’s automatic captioning capability.
