Toolbar Options in CaseGuard Studio

The “Toolbar” in CaseGuard Studio provides you with five key options for managing audio files:

  1. Audio Redaction:

    • This is the default option when you add an audio file. It allows you to use manual audio redaction tools in depth, as covered in the “Manual Audio Redaction” video.
    • When a redaction is applied, it shows the action and timestamp under “Description.”
    • Use the “go to position” icon under “Operations” to navigate to one second before a specific redaction.
    • Select “Preview without Effect” to listen to muted, bleeped, or voice-changed sections.
    • The delete button removes redactions one by one, reflected on the audio wave.
  2. Audio Effects:

    • Allows you to adjust the volume, decreasing it down to 0.5 or increasing it up to 100.
    • Add changes to the Task list and export them to apply volume adjustments.
  3. Closed Captioning:

    • Enables adding captions to your videos and audio files.
    • Add timestamps using manual methods, write out captions, and save them for your chosen duration.
    • Further details are available in the “How to: Translation and Closed Captioning” video.
  4. Convert Audio to Video:

    • Converts audio files into video format (.mp4).
    • Once selected, the task appears on the “Tasks List” panel and applies upon export.
  5. Noise Removal:

    • Removes background noise from audio files.
    • Adjust noise removal directly on the audio wave, selecting specific levels and time frames or applying it to the entire audio.
