Utilizing Enhancement Effects in Redaction Studio
Redaction Studio offers 28 Enhancement Effects that can help you read license plates, identify tattoos, and see suspects in poorly lit images. These effects can be used alongside Manual Redaction and AI Automatic Redaction and applied to a single file or in bulk.
- Create an Album:
- Select the “Album” icon at the top of your Workspace.
- Add your files and click “Next.”
- Name the Album and customize the export location.
- Apply Enhancement Effects:
- You can layer certain Enhancement Effects to clarify details, such as a blurry license plate number.
- Draw a box around the license plate and select “Magnify” from the list of Redaction and Enhancement Effects.
- Add the “Sharpen Effect” to improve pixel clarity in the selected area.
- Layer on the “Grey Scale Effect” to differentiate the license plate number more easily.
- Finally, add the “Contrast Effect” to brighten the selected area.
- Use the Level Bar to adjust the intensity of each Enhancement Effect.
- Reuse Enhancement Settings:
- With these effects layered in the Manual Detection Panel, you can easily apply them to another license plate without reselecting them.
- Redact Objects:
- To redact an object in the image, de-select the chosen Enhancement Effects, select a Redaction Effect, and use the Manual Redaction feature.
