Steps to Configure a Watcher:

  1. Access the Watcher Panel:
    • Hover over the Watcher icon on the right side of the Workspace and pin it for easy access.
  2. Add a Folder to Watch:
    • Click the “Add Folder to Watch” icon at the bottom of the Watcher Panel.
    • Name your Watcher with a descriptive title to identify its operation easily.
  3. Select Input and Output Folders:
    • Use the “Browse” button to choose an input folder for videos you want to redact.
    • Select an output folder where CaseGuard Studio will save the redacted copies.
  4. Review Option:
    • If you wish to review redactions for editing, click “Keep History Files for Manual Review.”
  5. Configure Redaction Operation:
    • With your Watcher named and folders selected, choose “Redact Video/Image” from the “Operation” dropdown menu.
    • Click “Add.”
  6. AI Automatic Detection Settings:
    • In the AI Automatic Detection pop-up, select what you want to detect and redact.
    • Alternatively, load an existing AI Automatic Detection template from the “Load Template” dropdown.
  7. Select Redaction Options:
    • Choose the shape of the redaction box and select the desired redaction or enhancement effect.
    • Repeat this process for each type of object you want to detect and redact.
  8. Finalize Settings:
    • If desired, save your selections as a template by checking “Save as Template” and naming it.
    • To increase detection speed when redacting all objects, uncheck “Classify Results.” Keep it checked if you need to unredact specific objects.
  9. Complete Setup:
    • Click “Save.” The Watcher will appear in the Watcher Panel on the right side of your Workspace.

Using the Watcher:

  • Use “Open Input Folder” and “Open Output Folder” icons to monitor redaction in real-time.
  • Add videos to the input folder; CaseGuard will acknowledge them and begin redaction.
  • Original files move to the Processed folder as they are redacted.
  • Fully redacted copies appear in the output folder.
  • You can add a folder of videos; CaseGuard maintains file structure, creating corresponding folders in both processed and output locations.

Additional Notes:

  • There is no limit to how many watchers you can add. Click “Add Folder to Watch” and repeat these steps for additional watchers, which can perform different operations like Redacting Faces & Screens or Audio Redaction.
