Bulk Audio Redaction in CaseGuard Studio
To begin, select “Bulk Redaction” from the “Get Started” window. From the operation drop-down menu, choose “Redact Audio.” You can select audio and video files for bulk redaction. Choose files that require the same type of personal information to be removed from the audio, as you will specify what information to detect in the Redact Audio Settings.
Configuring Redact Audio Settings
- Open Settings: Click on Redact Audio Settings to open the Automatic Audio Redaction Window.
- Select Language: Choose the spoken language of the file. CaseGuard supports over 40 languages and dialects. If unsure, use the detect language option. For files with multiple languages, check the box to detect and transcribe them.
- Choose Effect: Select an effect—mute, bleep, or no effect.
- Select Information to Detect: Choose from a list of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as Names, Banking information, Credit card information, Organizations, etc.
Click apply when finished.
Exporting Options
- Export After Detection: To the right of the redact audio settings, check this box to automatically export a redacted copy of your audio or video file if minimal review is needed.
Processing Bulk Operation
- Select Project: Choose to process this operation in an existing project using the “browse” button or create a new project. Click Start.
Reviewing and Editing Files
- You will have two copies of each file: the original with transcription and the redacted file.
- Access unredacted transcription by clicking the print reports button with the original file selected. Access redacted transcription by doing the same with the redacted file selected.
- If there are mistakes in your exported file, make changes to your original file and export again.
- To add redaction reasons in bulk, right-click the audio wave and apply your reason.
Pre-selecting Redaction Reasons
- Apply redaction reasons for bulk audio redaction by navigating to tools → list manager → AI analytics. Pre-select reasons for names, phone numbers, and addresses. These will automatically apply next time you run Bulk Audio Redaction.
