Managing Redaction Effects After AI Automatic Detection

After using AI Automatic Detection, you can remove the redaction effect from one or more objects. Here’s how to manage and customize redactions:

Steps to Unredact Objects:

  1. Select Objects to Unredact:
    • Choose the objects you want to unredact.
  2. Disable Redaction:
    • Right-click on the redaction box and select “Disable.”
    • Unlike “Delete from all frames,” this option allows you to reapply the redaction later.
  3. Handling Multiple Objects:
    • If an object moves out of the frame and returns, it may be classified as multiple objects. Disable the redaction for each instance.
  4. Use Object Detection Panel:
    • Click the “Disable” icon (eye symbol) in the Object Detection Panel to remove redactions.
    • Use the “Go to position” icon to navigate to the first frame where the object appears, identified by a red border.
  5. Lock Redaction:
    • Click the “Lock” icon to secure the redaction, preventing edits or deletions.
  6. View All Frames:
    • Click the “View all” icon to see all frames where the object appears. Delete any inaccurate detections from this window.
  7. Edit Redacted Objects:
    • Click “More Options” and select “Edit” to open the Edit Effects Window, where you can modify the name, shape, effect, and reason for redaction.
  8. Bulk Operations:
    • Use tool icons at the bottom of the Object Detection Panel for bulk operations on selected or all objects.
  9. Merge Effects:
    • Use the “Merge Effects” feature to group selected objects and apply effects collectively.
  10. Additional Options:
    • The “More Options” icon provides two features:
      • “Remove Flickering”: Fills gaps between redaction boxes.
      • “Classify Results”: Separates detected objects individually if not classified in AI Detection settings.
  11. Search for Specific Objects:
    • Use the search bar in the Object Detection Panel to find specific objects and use “Go to Position” to locate them in the video.
  12. Show Object Titles:
    • Under Advanced Options in the AI Detection Panel, check “Show Titles” and click “Apply” to display object titles for easy identification.
