Creating and Managing a Project in CaseGuard Studio

Steps to Create a New Project:

  1. Create a New Project:
    • Start by creating a new project in CaseGuard Studio.
  2. Enter Project Information:
    • In the “More Information” section, enter the “Name of Requestor,” “Case Number,” and “Date of Request.”
    • This information can be added later by pinning the “File Log Panel.” To do this, select “View,” then “Panels,” click “File Log,” and choose the second icon at the bottom of the pinned panel.
  3. Add a File:
    • Add a file to your project.
  4. Apply Redactions and Transcriptions:
    • Apply redactions with selected redaction reasons.
    • Run Automatic Transcription from the Analytics Panel for audio redactions.
  5. Generate Reports:
    • Click on the Print Reports icon to access reports for the file.

Types of Reports:

  • Standard Report:
    • Displays the file name, additional information, tasks performed, File Log, and metadata.
    • The File Log can be included or excluded by clicking the icons next to the reports dropdown.
    • Reports can be printed or exported using the “Print” icon or by selecting a file type from the “Export” dropdown menu.
  • Exemption Log:
    • Details all redaction reasons, showing timestamp, file type (A for audio, V for video), material withheld, explanation of redaction reason, and legal/statutory basis.
    • Timestamps can be stacked by clicking the “stack” icon next to the dropdown menu.
  • Object Detection Report:
    • Lists all objects that were redacted. These objects will not appear in exported file reports as they are redacted.
  • Analytics Report:
    • Lists all selected personally identifiable information found in the file, including categories and instances.
  • Transcription Report:
    • Contains the full transcript of the audio. The exported version will reflect any audio redactions.
  • Word Cloud Report:
    • Displays the most commonly mentioned words from the transcript.

Customizing Reports:

  • To add your agency’s logo to reports, navigate to the “Tools Tab,” then to “Settings,” and upload your agency logo.
