Bulk Audio Redaction for PCI Information in CaseGuard Studio
Today’s video will cover bulk audio redaction of credit card information, also known as PCI. Everything we discuss can be applied to any file type, including video, document, image, PDF, and text files.Using the Watcher Feature
CaseGuard Studio includes a feature called the Watcher. To access it:- Locate the Watcher Tab: On the left-hand side of your workspace, find and pin the watcher tab.
- Add Folder to Watch: Click the “add folder to watch” button at the bottom of the watcher tab. This opens the CaseGuard Watcher window where you can name your watch. For this example, name it “PCI-redaction.”
Setting Up Your Watch
- Specify Input Folder: Tell the system which folder to watch. We have a folder named PCI-input.
- Specify Output Folder: Designate a folder for redacted files. We named ours PCI-output.
- Select Operation: Choose the operation for the system to perform. For this example, select “redact audio.” Options include redacting videos and analyzing documents.
Configuring Automatic Audio Redaction
- Select Language: In the automatic audio redaction pop-up window, choose the spoken language. CaseGuard Studio supports 36 languages; we’ll use English.
- Choose Redaction Effect: Options include mute or bleep; we’ll use bleep for this example.
- Select Information to Redact: Choose names, addresses, credit card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV.
Running the Watcher
Now, whenever a file is added to the PCI input folder, the system will automatically redact audio in that file.- Add sample audio files with credit card information to your watcher.
- Include an audio file without credit card info but with names and addresses.
Monitoring Progress
To see what the system is doing:- Click the scheduled tasks button at the top of your workspace (calendar icon).
Reviewing Results
Observe how files in the input folder are read and redacted. Once finished, original audio files move to a processed folder within the input folder.- Check changes in your output folder and listen to how effectively selected information was removed.
