Translation and Captioning Features in CaseGuard Studio

Translation Feature

  • Overview: CaseGuard offers a “Translation” feature that enables you to translate audio in videos and audio files from one language to another.
  • Transcription Requirement: Before translating, files must be transcribed. This process is covered in a previous video (“How To: AI Redaction in Audio”).
  • Language Options: Choose from 55 different languages and dialects. The translated transcript will appear in the Translation Panel within seconds.
  • Accessing Transcriptions:
    • Use the “Print Reports” option at the top left and the “Reports” dropdown to view both original and translated transcriptions.
    • All translated languages will be listed in the dropdown menu at the top of the Translation Panel.
  • Printing and Exporting: Easily print or export transcriptions to various file types.
  • Alternative Translation Method: Use the “Translation” icon at the bottom of the Transcription Panel for translation.

Captioning Feature

  • Adding Captions: Adding captions to audio or video files is straightforward in CaseGuard.
  • Steps to Add Captions:
    • Select the Closed Captions icon at the bottom of the Translation Panel.
    • Choose options for capitalization, alignment, and style of captions.
    • After selecting “Add,” click the “Closed Captioning” icon in the Audio Toolbar and play the video.
    • Closed captions will now be visible on your screen.
