It used to take me hours to redact a body worn camera video. Now it takes a fraction of the time and the accuracy of the automatic face/head detection is amazing! When I saw the demonstration for the program, I thought to myself, “This has to be difficult”. Well, I was wrong. The program is easy to use, and you don’t have to be a computer expert to use it.

I contacted CaseGuard and they gave me a 30 minute training session and now I feel like I am a professional at redacting videos. Now the 2 hour long videos take me just a few hours to work on. I love using this program and working with CaseGuard team. They are very helpful and just a phone call away whenever I have a question or need any kind of help.

We had a demonstration provided, and I was blown away. I remember thinking to myself “This can’t *possibly* work that well – this is a demo, of course, they’re going to show their software under ideal conditions!”. They must have known what I was thinking, because we then used “real world” bodycam video’s and we used videos with a variety of light levels, action levels, etc – and the software is at least 3-4x better than what I was using previously, for redaction.

CaseGuard, along with good detective work, we have been able to solve crimes. As a department we have been able to enhance facial features, tag and vehicle information, and tattoos. This list will continue to grow as the needs of the department present themselves.

We have used CaseGuard for about 6 months now and have seen an exponential decrease in time it takes to redact, as well as appreciated the enhanced tools available with this software to perform redactions in comparison to the previous program we used.
