It’s very simple! When you purchase CaseGuard Studio, we’ll send you an email with a link that you can go to and download the software. You’ll click a button to start downloading and installing itself— all with one click.

CaseGuard is only compatible with Windows operating systems. If you have a Windows virtual machine environment on your Mac or Linux machine, CaseGuard can operate within that VM. It is designed to function offline, without transmitting videos off-site, thereby ensuring privacy.

CaseGuard fully supports multiple languages and localizations. Twenty-eight (28) languages are already built-in, including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and Arabic. More languages are being added constantly.

CaseGuard is an all-in-one redaction software that is extremely powerful and easy to use. Many other products on the market offer limited redaction capabilities.

Redaction Studio can also redact any video file, any audio file, any image, and any PDF file. All other products on the market can only redact one file type or another; some can redact video but not audio. There are also products on the market today that can only redact their cameras videos but nothing else.

While CaseGuard can run on any Windows machine, we recommend having a robust graphics card, especially when working with videos in CaseGuard or any video processing software.

Utilizing a powerful graphics card can significantly enhance processing speed. For instance, a 10-minute video can be processed in real-time, 10 minutes or less with a sound graphics card, whereas a less capable graphics card may take over 2 hours to complete the same task.

We highly recommend investing in having a good graphics card as it will save you so much time, and it can cost less than $300 to upgrade your graphics card.

Yes. With the Premium license, you will gain access to all redaction capabilities in CaseGuard, allowing you to effectively redact audio, video, images, documents, as well as sensitive credit card information within all the different assets. You have the option of redacting credit card information in bulk. Yes. CaseGuard has the ability to redact all screens, monitors, computers, cell phones, and in-car laptops using an AI automatic redaction tool.

CaseGuard’s advanced audio analytics can detect various sensitive information such as social security numbers, phone numbers, names, and more. It categorizes this information, allowing you to easily view specific categories like social security numbers and perform redactions on all instances within that category. This ensures efficient and accurate redaction of sensitive information during your workflow.

CaseGuard can decipher speech from 31 languages in seconds. It makes any audio and video searchable and editable. In CaseGuard, you can convert audio to text in minutes then automatically translate it. Live transcripts can appear in as quickly as a few seconds.

Moreover, CaseGuard’s tools turn your computer into a professional editing studio able to enhance even the most complex video footage or image. You can use them to enhance your footage to get the look you want. CaseGuard’s enhancement tools focus attention on any object, making it easier for you to show what’s most important.

For PDF redactions, you have the option to redact files individually or utilize our unique bulk processing feature to conduct multiple operations on numerous files simultaneously. Operations available in bulk processing include OCR, anonymization, AI PII text detection, Find and Redact analysis lists, AI Image redaction within documents, watermarks, and more.

For instance, if you possess thousands of scanned documents, you can leverage our Bulk feature to carry out OCR on all your documents and employ our AI analysis to redact all PII at once, rather than handling one document at a time. It’s important to note that even after conducting bulk redactions, you retain the flexibility to make additional edits to your documents as needed.

No, there are no limits on the quantity or duration of videos and audio files that can be redacted using CaseGuard. Whether you have hundreds or thousands of extensive videos and audio files, you can confidently depend on CaseGuard for an efficient redaction process without any constraints.

However, if you’re particularly interested in using the automatic audio redaction with transcription capabilities, each license comes with a limit of 240 hours/year of Automatic Transcription & Translation or 48,000 pages/year of AI document analysis. You have the option to add more hours and pages once the initial allotment has been utilized.

Yes, CaseGuard Studio can automatically transcribe audio (in video and audio files) to text. CaseGuard Studio can also recognize multiple speakers in the audio. This can significantly reduce the amount of work needed to transcribe telephone calls, interviews, and meetings. CaseGuard Studio transcription can recognize the following languages to text (more to come):

CaseGuard Studio is a local application that you install on your organization’s own computers. When using CaseGuard Studio redaction software, all of the redaction work you do is happening on your computers —and nothing is being processed or stored on the cloud.

Yes, you can use both your CaseGuard license and the CaseGuard Studio video redaction software in an offline mode, even when there is no internet connection available.

To do this, you’ll need to assign the license to the specific computer you want to use. We issue one offline key per license, which is tied to that specific machine\user. Please note that once the offline key has been issued for a license, it can not be cancelled, transferred, or changed for the duration of the license. Changed to the keys can be done upon renewal. This setup is often used in air-gapped systems.

However, please note that certain features, such as transcription and translation, will not be available when using the software in offline mode. Regardless of whether you’re using the software online or offline, CaseGuard does not see, store, or transfer any of your files outside of your local machine or network.

CaseGuard supports the following video, audio, image, raw image, document, email, and text file extensions.

There is no limit to the types of files that can be processed and the software has the ability to redact and enhance any video, audio, image, or PDF file, and continues to add support for more file types as they become available.

Yes. CaseGuard operates as a local software solution. This means that your information remains within your own environment and is neither transmitted nor stored in any cloud-based infrastructure. CaseGuard is able to work with any file from any source, meaning the format of your BWC and Dashcam footage will be able to be added onto CaseGuard and redacted.

CaseGuard is a redaction software solution that operates locally on Windows systems. This ensures that your information remains completely secure and is never shared with any third-party entities or cloud-based platforms.

Using CaseGuard, your data stays safe and localized. The software operates locally on your machine, preventing any data transfer beyond your local setup. When it comes to emails and their attachments, you can add them into CaseGuard using the PST reader, which grants you the flexibility to choose between emails, emails and attachments, or attachments only. From there, you can proceed with redacting any personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive information from your files as needed. Your data privacy remains intact with CaseGuard.

You do. When you start using CaseGuard, you select where you want to save your projects and process your files.

We have no access to your data or projects.

Yes. CaseGuard Studio is a local application that you install on your organization’s own computer. That means that employees of CaseGuard can’t access any of your data or information.

The only people who can access your data are people who have access to your organization’s computer and files.

When redacting with CaseGuard, redacted data will be permanently removed from the video, audio, image, or PDF.  Once your file is redacted, there is no way back. Any redacted data is completely gone. You will be 100% safe sharing the redacted version with the world. Even a media expert couldn’t enhance or retrieve data from your video, audio file, PDF, or image file.

Yes. You are not restricted to buying licenses from the same plan for your entire team. This means you can mix and match your purchases based on individual needs. For instance, in a single order, you could purchase two standard licenses and three premium licenses for your team, catering to different requirements.

CaseGuard licenses are per seat and can be assigned to a computer or a person. This allows you to log in both at home and at work, making it ideal for a hybrid environment. However, to have multiple users working simultaneously, multiple licenses are required.

The month-to-month payment option is an excellent choice for those without long-term projects or if you have inconsistent redaction needs. CaseGuard is a locally installed software, which means you can pause your usage and easily pick up where you left off by reactivating your license. If you’re likely to use CaseGuard Studio for several consecutive months, it’s recommended to set up a recurring payment plan for your month-to-month subscription and cancel when your project is completed.

However, if your use will approach or exceed a year, it is more cost-effective to purchase an annual license.

It depends!

Lite is perfect for basic video and audio redaction. It helps you accurately automate redaction so that you can respond to records requests and more.

Standard is ideal for organizations that redact personally identifiable information or sensitive patient or customer information from video, audio, PDFs, or images regularly, whether for evidence collection or FOIA or records request purposes.

Premium is ideal for organizations such as law enforcement, hospitals, public safety agencies, financial institutions, media institutions, and call centers working with significant amounts of audio and video. This plan is the only plan that offers automatic transcription and translation. Premium leverages a deep learning (AI) process called automatic speech recognition to convert audio to text quickly, making it possible to automatically transcribe and translate your recordings in up to 31 languages. If you want to transcribe from video or audio files regularly, this plan is great for you.

Doc is designed for PDF and image redaction. Its streamlined document redaction toolset lets you redact any PDF or image in moments. Use Doc’s powerful pattern redaction to strip your documents of identifying data in moments. Built for busy professionals, Doc is perfect for you if you don’t need to redact audio or video.

Yes, you can cancel your account plan at any time. However, if you do, you will be unable to edit or export any unfinished redaction projects after canceling your plan. Make sure you finish all your redaction projects before cancellation.

Cancellation requests must be made at least 30 days before the renewal date for a full refund. If they are made less than 30 days before the renewal, a partial refund may be issued based on the remaining time.

Yes! You can always upgrade for additional features or downgrade later.

CaseGuard accepts all major credit cards, bank transfers, ACH, checks, and government purchase orders.

In addition, we accept Purchase Orders (POs) to formalize requirements and pricing and to serve as binding documentation of the service provided. 

CaseGuard offers four subscription plans.  We offer monthly and annual subscriptions and provide a discount if you sign up for an annual plan.

Yes! You can test out CaseGuard for 7 days. Your redaction projects will have a trial watermark, but you can purchase a plan later to unlock all of CaseGuard’s features.

No. You will have the option to purchase a subscription. No automatic charges will be applied.

All your previously processed files (i.e., ones that you’ve redacted or enhanced and exported) can be accessed so long as you’ve saved them, but you will be unable to edit them or make modifications to them after you cancel your subscription.

Yes, we do. We offer support during regular business hours and regularly provide 24/7 support options for our clients who need around-the-clock support.

CaseGuard offers online and in-person training.

No, Redaction Studio can run on any Windows desktop or laptop.  However, it can also be installed on a Windows server if your organization prefers to go that route.

When you import files into CaseGuard, a copy of your original file is created within your CaseGuard project. This copy is what you utilize for redaction. Your original file remains untouched and stays in its original location.
