CaseGuard 9.8

CaseGuard 9.8.0 focuses on faster workflows, cleaner UI, and seamless cloud connectivity. It brings a unified email import wizard, reusable video redaction templates, AWS S3 integration, and expanded editing controls for audio and video files.

New Features

• Labels across all media types – You can now add labels to objects and PII in videos, audio, documents, and images. This is especially useful when you need to mark different objects for different clearance levels and make multiple copies for different requesters.
• Unified email import wizard – You can now add PST, OLM, EML, and other email formats through a single import wizard, redact them, and export them as PDFs. Import speed is improved and the PDF output quality is higher than previous versions.
• AWS S3 integration – Connect to your S3 buckets using your access key and region, then browse folders, download files, redact them, and upload them back, all within CaseGuard Studio. No more manually transferring files between S3 and your local machine.
• Video redaction templates – Create reusable video redaction templates for objects that appear in the same position across multiple videos . When you’re applying the same redaction rules across multiple videos, templates let you skip the manual setup each time.
• Right-click context menus on all panels – You can now right-click on any panel to quickly access common actions like delete, open file location, edit, and more, without navigating through menus or toolbars.
• New UI elements for audio and video editing – Noise removal, volume adjustment, frame rotation, and speed change timepoints now have dedicated visual controls that make it easier to see when and where effects are applied on the timeline. You can also preview timepoints for these features before applying them.
• Recent search history – The search bar now stores your recent queries and selections so you can rerun common searches without retyping them.
• Date/time manager – A new settings tool that lets you configure the time format used across the entire application.
• New green theme – A new color theme option available in display settings.

Improvements

• The misaligned highlight of selected text in PDFs has now been corrected resulting in more accurate text selection and reduced use of OCR.
• Improvements in TeamSpace usability and stability with better multitasking, note management, file handling, error reporting, and project updates.
• Audio wave height and visible range settings now carry over between sessions instead of resetting each time you open an audio/video file.

Bug Fixes

Resolved numerous issues across video, audio, image, and document, improving stability and performance across modules .
