View Modes and Export Features in CaseGuard Studio
Adding and Redacting a File
- Begin by adding a file to CaseGuard Studio.
- Make some redactions to the file to explore the features.
View Modes
CaseGuard Studio offers four view modes to suit your editing or reviewing needs:
- Edit Mode:
- Default mode, showing redaction boxes with gridded lines.
- Edit Mode (View):
- Removes gridded lines, keeping only the border around words for better visibility of redactions.
- Preview Mode:
- Displays what the exported version will look like.
- Show Original:
- Shows the original document without any redactions.
Exporting Files
- Return to Edit Mode to export your file.
- In the export popup window, under “Additional Export Options,” you have two choices:
- Redaction Export Mode:
- Default option that exports the file with final redactions applied.
- Export in Review Mode:
- Exports a marked copy of your file with highlighted redaction boxes for further review. Useful for getting approval before final export.
- You can also add a password to your file in the same export window.
Post-Export Actions
- After exporting, use the “Open Project Folder” icon under the “Project Files” panel to view the exported file with other software like Adobe.
- If a password was added, you will be prompted to enter it upon opening the document.
- Hover over redaction boxes with reasons to see pop-up explanations.
