Overview

Today’s video will cover the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing functionality on documents, including:

  • Definition of OCR processing
  • Reasons to use OCR processing
  • Steps for OCR processing a document through CaseGuard

Steps for OCR Processing

  1. Initiate OCR Processing:
    • Click on the “OCR Document” icon on the left side of the screen. A pop-up window will appear.
  2. Choose OCR Options:
    • You will see two sets of options:
      • Processing Type: Choose between processing only scanned pages or all types (machine-generated and scanned items). We recommend using the all-pages option.
      • Page Range: Select whether to process all pages or specify a range within your document.
  3. Start OCR Processing:
    • Click “Process OCR” to begin processing your document.
    • Monitor the progress using the loading bar at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Review Processed Pages:
    • Once the document has been successfully processed, click on the “OCR Document” icon again to see which pages have been OCRed within CaseGuard.
