Manual redaction offers the highest level of control over your redaction process. If you can draw a box over an area, you can redact it. Here’s how to effectively use manual redaction:
- Choose a Redaction Shape:
- Options include rectangle, triangle, ellipse, or diamond.
- Select a Redaction Effect:
- Available effects are adaptive blur, blur, pixelate, and filled.
- Apply Redaction Effects:
- Depending on your needs, apply a standard effect, reverse effect, or full-frame redaction effect.
- Manual Redaction Methods:
- First Method:
- Draw a redaction box and click and hold it while following the person or object to be redacted.
- Use the left and right arrow keys to move frame by frame and adjust the redaction box placement for precision.
- Second Method:
- Draw a redaction box, right-click, and select the search feature.
- This method is less time-consuming and streamlines the redaction process.
- First Method:
- Viewing Modes During Redaction:
- Edit Mode: The redaction effect is applied and outlined with a red line.
- Edit Mode View: Allows you to see what is behind the redaction for greater accuracy.
- Preview Mode: Shows the redaction effect without an outline, letting you see the final product as it will appear upon export.
