AI Document Analysis in CaseGuard Studio

Hi everyone! Welcome back to the CaseGuard Studio training course. In this video, we’ll cover AI document analysis, CaseGuard’s automatic document redaction tool.

Setting Up Your Project

  1. Create a Project: Add a document file to your project and pin the analytics panel.
  2. AI Analysis: Click the AI analysis button in the analytics panel to open the AI analysis panel. Select the file language. CaseGuard supports 54 languages.

Selecting PII for Redaction

  • Choose which personal identifiable information (PII) categories to detect and redact, such as names, addresses, SSNs, credit card info, IP addresses, and more.
  • If needed, select specific pages for AI analysis, useful for large documents.

Running AI Analysis

  1. Click Analyze: The system will detect PII. For example, CaseGuard may find 155 pieces of PII.
  2. Redact All: Click the paintbrush icon at the top of the analytics panel to redact everything found.

Filtering and Managing PII

  • Filter by Category: Use the search bar to filter by PII category (e.g., addresses). Redact individual items or all at once.
  • Blocking Words: Block words you never want redacted (e.g., your organization’s name). Choose to block from this file or all future files.

Editing Block List and Redaction Settings

  • Block List: Edit by going to tools → list manager → block list.
  • AI Analytics Settings: Set redaction reasons and colors for each PII category. For instance, make addresses green.

Exporting Your File

  • Export Options: Choose to export the redacted file or export for review if multiple review rounds are needed.
  • Review Redactions: In the exported document, redactions and reasons are visible on top of each redaction box.

Bulk AI Document Analysis

  1. Bulk Processing: Click the bulk processing button and select “Redact document” from the operation drop-down menu.
  2. Add Files: Include your files for bulk processing.
  3. Redaction Settings: Choose “AI text analysis,” select file language and PII categories, then save.
  4. Start Processing: Export files after redactions are applied.
