CaseGuard Studio’s Watcher feature is a tool that allows users to automatically redact image, video , audio, and PDF files , as well as emails. All you need to do is add a group of files to a folder and let the software do the rest of the work. For example, a legal professional who wants to redact confidential files in hundreds of PDF documents could add these documents to a folder, choose the Analyze & Redact Documents option from the drop-down menu, and go about the rest of their workday while CaseGuard software automatically redacts the personally identifiable information in a matter of minutes. The Observer Tab
To start using the Watcher functionality of CaseGuard Studio, the user must click on the Watcher tab located on the right section of the screen. They must then click on the pin icon in the top right corner of the panel to pin the panel to their workspace. The user can then click on the Add Folder to Watch button in the bottom left corner of the Watcher panel, which will direct them to the CaseGuard Watcher pop-up window. From this window, the user can name the project, as well as upload an input folder that will contain the files they wish to edit or enhance, as well as an output folder that will contain these files once they have been processed.
CaseGuard Observer Operations
Once the user has named their project and entered the file paths for their input and output folders into the CaseGuard Observer pop-up window, they can select the specific redaction or enhancement operations they want the system to perform automatically. Analyze and Write Documents
Once the user clicks the Add button, they will be taken to the Analyze and Redact Documents pop-up window. In this window, users can automatically redact personal data from PDF documents using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and AI analysis. For example, a user who wants to remove names, phone numbers, and email addresses from multiple PDF documents can select the option to perform AI text analysis in the pop-up window. Once this option is selected, users will be prompted to choose the language their documents are written in, as well as the specific categories of personal information they want the system to remove from those documents.
By clicking on the What to Detect drop-down menu, users can choose to redact names, passport numbers, email addresses, and driver’s license information in PDF documents, as well as a multitude of other forms of personal data. They can also choose to redact any type of personal information that can be detected by the system by selecting the All option at the top of the drop-down menu. Once a user has decided which forms of personal information they wish to remove from their PDF documents using the Observer functionality, they can click the Apply button on the Analyze and Redact Documents pop-up window to begin the process.
CaseGuard Scheduled Tasks
