Sergeant Harold L. Preston is survived by his elderly parents, whom he provided care. They are suffering the loss of their son and their needed caregiver as well. The community, neighbors, and friends will come together to honor the life of Sgt. Preston and the years he gave to them.
In Memory of Sergeant Harry Cohen
Sergeant Harry Cohen is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. They now have the loss to grieve through but will continue to look up to Sgt Cohen as a father, friend, and leader. He lived his life well, giving back to all those he met. Friends, coworkers, and the community will continue to support his family and be there for them during this tragic time.
In Memory of Investigator Lemuel Delray Bruce
The Bruce’s had a young family, with two children. Lemuel Delray Bruce left behind his wife, 12-year-old daughter, and eight-year-old son. The local fire departments, coworkers, family, friends, and neighbors will celebrate a life well-lived and become a support system for his family. Community strength can work to heal the loss.
In Memory of Detective Kevin Collins
On October 5th, 2020 Detective Kevin Collins passed away from gun violence. Him and another officer were both wounded after conducting an ingoing investigation at a hotel. He leaves behind friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues who will miss him dearly.
In Memory of Police Officer Jacob Hancher
Police Officer Jacob Hancher wanted to be a police officer and a firefighter growing up. He was dedicated to serving his community, and when the time came, he chose to do both. He was working as a volunteer firefighter with the county but had successfully become employed by the Myrtle Beach Police Department and looked forward to a life of service to his community.
In Memory of Police Officer Aubrey Johnson
Police Officer Aubrey Johnson leaves behind both of his parents, who also served with the Miami Police Department. Extended family, friends, neighbors, and many ‘blue family’ members join his parents in their grief and celebration of the life he lived.
